A Day at the Races

Experience the excitement of the Potomac Hunt Races in Poolesville, Maryland! This annual steeplechase tradition features powerful horses and skilled riders racing across the countryside while leaping timber and brush fences. Watching the races is thrilling, but learning how to photograph the speed, action, and emotion of the sport is an art. Join photographer Phil Fabrizio as he shares techniques for capturing the drama, movement, and energy of steeplechase racing through your lens.
There is also a mounted police demonstration and vendor village for shopping and dining. MDPPA has organized limited rail spot for this year's race and a tent. Register early due to space limitation.
Bring your own food or you can purchase from Food trucks and vendors avialble on site.
