Join Melanie to learn simple and effective ways on how you can intentionally communicate and show appreciation to your clients resulting in increased sales while creating clients for life!

Everyone communicates differently, but with a little insight into these differences, which is built on the hugely-successful “5 Love Languages” by Dr. Gary Chapman, you will be confidently equipped to provide the highest level of service and appreciation to each of your clients.

Bruce Press, CPP:  Production and Promotion for Theater and Dance 

Mr. Press will present on his experience photographing headshots, production stills and promotional images for non-profit theaters and dance companies in Baltimore and Howard County. The talk will focus on the challenges of shooting within the constraints of rehearsal and performance schedules, relationships, and how to approach tasks with an open mind. He will also discuss equipment choices, lighting and share a few images.

Kenny Epps: Church/Event Photography

Kenny will present an array of his photo work focusing on what it takes to be a missionary/church/event photographer. Kenny will also give you an honest talk on his approaches and gear used to shoot in churches, on location, in events, and on the streets anywhere.

Web is a retired Naval Aviator, rated in both fixed and rotor wing aircraft.  He flew helicopter gunships in the Vietnam Delta during the years of 1967 and 1968, including TET, as a pilot in the legendary Helicopter Attack (Light)-3 squadron known as the HAL-3 Seawolves. His story is day to day life, in and out of combat, as told through the camera of a serious photographer. Attendees will learn about photographing people as well as how to expose by million-watt candle flairs. The medium is an antique form of photography now known as, “The Film Days.”“Blood and guts” photography was left for others who would try to sell it to the media. The “Combat Parts” of Web’s lecture may also be good training for weddings.

Melanie Anderson, M.Photog.,Cr., CPP, F.Ph-AF-MDPPA

Melanie is a multiple award-winning photographer, Twice Maryland Photographer of the Year, Chairman of Maryland Professional Photographer’s Association, Certified Professional Photographer, and holds her Photographic Craftsman and Master of Photography Degrees.

Melanie is a wife to her husband of 25 years, Bill, and a mother of their 4 children, Sarah, Emily, Kayla and Billy –Not only does she travel the country educating others, judging print competitions, and filming for commercial clients, she has nurtured Anderson Photographs from a home studio into the custom photographic and cinema studio it is today.

As co-founder and educator of “The Focus Tour” and Speaker for Imaging, WPPI, SWPP, Texas School, Shutterfest and previous contributor to Shutter Magazine, mentor for After Dark Education, SYNC, Sandy Puc tours, teaching at numerous State PPA Chapters, Melanie filmed and was correspondent for several segments for Photovision. Melanie stays passionate about one-on-one mentoring and works diligently to provide educational resources to small businesses, and entrepreneurs through Anderson Education and Anderson Inspired; which includes webinars, eBooks, videos and workshops.

Melanie’s philosophy is about living life to the fullest, creating impact, and inspiring others!

The owner of Bruce F. Press Photography for almost a decade, Bruce F Press, CPP has been involved in photography his whole life. He first learned that creative opportunities don't end in the camera at his father's elbow in the darkroom. Through the years he has set fire to plastic models, got too close to sharks and splattered $4000 worth of equipment on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on his photographic journey. Today, he continues to expand his understanding and expression every day for clients and himself.


Kenny Epps earned his certification from the Washington School of Photography, and currently has a studio in Owings Mills, Maryland.  Kenny has always been interested in the field of Photography since his earlier studies at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore College. 

In 2005 while sitting in his home church service, Kenny received a spiritual awakening and a call to get involved in world missionary work. Within 60 days of that call to missionary work, Kenny found himself serving on a team of 19 halfway around the world on the shores Indonesia helping the Tsunami victims.  From this first step of faith, Kenny has been on over 19 missionary trips all over the world.  He has worked and captured images in countries such as El Salvador, Kiva, Hatti, Cuba, Costa Rica, Bulgaria, Honduras, and more. His most recent trip this past September took him to the providence of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, Africa.   

Along with photographing Internationally, Kenny specializes in church and event photography.  He is currently the lead photographer at Trinity Life Church in Lutherville, Md which serves a congregation of about 3000. Kenny is their go to photographer for all of their most important event including street photography.  Kenny says that his purpose of photography is to use God’s eyes to show us the plight and joy of mankind.  


Web Wright, M.Photog.,Cr.,CPP, F.Ph-MDPPA, LCDR Webster Mating Wright, Jr.USN (RET)  USNA ‘64.  Web is a former Maryland Wedding Photographer of the Year or Runner Up ten years in a row, Personal Portrait Photographer for a former Secretary of the Navy and a Former Commandant of the Marine Corps; Photographer ’88 and ’96 Olympics; Chosen to photograph the NBC Wedding of the Year for 2005, and has photographed people in 33 countries.

In the Military, Web has received two Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Vietnam Air Gallantry Cross, 27 Air Medals, the Purple Heart, a total of 41 awards for combat, was in more than 200 firefights, and the Military Rifle Champion of the World, Visby, Gottland, Sweden 19.
